DG #1: Moments That Touched My Morning

Three things I'm grateful for today...

When I came out from my house to go to school, I saw that my basket on my bicycle had been fixed! It was broken before, and I immediately knew who had repaired it.  My father.

I felt so happy to see that. And without saying anything, my father fixed it yesterday. I had told him that I would bring it to a repair shop, but I got sick and forgot about it. This morning felt like a sweet surprise. Now, I can carry my things more easily, but more than that, I carry the feeling of being cared for.

The second thing I'm so grateful for is being able to wake up early, prepare early, and  have time to talk with my parents while they sell their goods things in the morning.  They keep supporting me as a teacher, even though they know about how small a teacher's salary can be. They have never blamed me for the major I chose in university. Instead, they always remind me that sincerity and hard work will bring barakah. I feel deeply thankful for their constant support, patience, and faith in me.

The third one is being grateful and proud of myself. Thank you for doing your best today, for trying to let go of things you can't control, for recieving kind prayers from your seniors about your future husband, and ignoring what others say about you. You've focused on what you can handle, put Allah in every single steps you take, and fought  against your worries about things that might never happen.

Thank you.

Thank you.

Thank you Allah for giving me small but meaningful moments of sweetness in this limited life. I know through this journey is not easy. And I'm still finding about myself, my desires, my intentions. Thank you for pouring me with blessings and love. I love my parents endlessly. I love them so much. Please, give them happiness in this dunya and akhirah.

Love,

Ihat
