What Makes Life Meaningful to You?

What makes life meaningful to you?

For me, life feels meaningful when I can share moments with my family and friends. I feel seen, valued, and heard by the people around me. I also think having daily goals can guide my choices and give me a reason to keep moving forward. But for this one, I'm still finding out. That's why I write in my journal every day and give myself space to talk a lot with her, myself.

Not only that, learning new skills and becoming wiser over time also makes my life meaningful. One of the new skills that I have learned recently is reflective writing. It is not only about learning a new skill, but also about getting to know myself better. When I write, I can take a pause and ask myself more questions. Sometimes, I find answers that I didn't even know I was looking for.

Creating or building things that matter to me also makes my life meaningful. One example is Teras English, which I built. I'm so happy with this community because I can share my knowledge and also help people through learning English. Seeing other people learn something from what I share gives me a feeling that what I do has a purpose.

Enjoying simple daily routines that make the world feel stable is also something that I want. As my therapist said, my homework now is to limit my jobs so I can focus on only one thing. That's why I chose my course instead of my school, because I need a quiet morning rather than a rushed morning.

I have to be mindful of the things that I do. I think it will help me manage my symptoms better. Even though I know it isn't easy. My mind is still busy, and I still have many ideas coming into my head. But maybe I don't have to follow every idea immediately. I can write them down, take a breath, and come back to them later.

Finding quiet moments for reflection and gratitude is also important to me. Because I don't have any agenda in the morning, I can use this time to read the Qur'an, write in my journal, and practice gratitude. It helps me a lot to save my mood throughout the day.

Maybe life doesn't always have to be about achieving something big.

Sometimes, life can feel meaningful simply because I have people to love, something to learn, something to build, and quiet moments to come back to myself.

And maybe I'm still finding out what makes life meaningful to me.

And that's okay.

I don't have to have all the answers right now.
